Description
| The main functions of Alytus Region Business Association are in the support, preparation and supervision of projects which will help develop the business environment in Alytus county. For example, current projects include “Establishment of Wood Industry Technologies Demonstration Centre in Alytus”. The main goal of this project is to improve the skills and qualifications of employees of wood processing companies and support the establishment of a ‘wood cluster’ in Southern Lithuania. In 2002 Alytus Region Business Association founded the “Business Cooperation Centre of Southern Lithuania”, whose main function is to support cooperation between business in order to reduce costs, search for new customers, establish purchasers and markets, and seek new employees and other services.
